There's No Place Like Ohio!

Ohio is a state blessed with an amazing collection of historic resources, from the urban architecture of Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Akron, Dayton and Toledo, to the streets of county seat downtowns, to the incredible architecture of rural Ohio. There are more individually listed and contributing properties on the National Register of Historic Places in Ohio than any other state. At the same time, decades of disinvestment have combined with both unsustainable development and unfortunate governmental programs to place this collection at risk as never before. As Ohio's statewide preservation organization, Preservation Ohio has worked since 1982 to secure a future for these resources -- not only to improve our quality of life, but to provide outstanding and unparalleled opportunities for economic development.
