Become A Part of Preservation In Ohio

You become a key part of Ohio’s preservation community when you join with other people working to preserve our rich heritage. Preservation Ohio has been leading this effort for almost 28 years as Ohio’s statewide preservation organization, always with a goal of securing the future of the state’s past through education, assistance and advocacy. Together, we can work to transform Ohio into a state where historic resources are recognized, appreciated, and made a continuing part of our communities and countryside.

There are several ways to support Ohio’s statewide preservation movement:

• Become a Member – Membership in Preservation Ohio is one of the best ways to demonstrate your support of preservation and revitalization in the Buckeye State. Not only will you be a full member of the growing effort to preserve Ohio’s past, but we have some great membership benefits to share as well! Click here to learn more or join.
• Volunteer – Preservation Ohio always has a welcome mat out for individuals who would like to volunteer their time and energy to advance the cause of preservation in Ohio. Many projects could easily be performed in your own home or office. We also welcome inquiries from anyone who has an interest in serving on our Board of Trustees. Our Board has a strong history of diversity and demographic diversity. If interested in volunteering or Board service, please drop us an e-mail.
• Chapters & Affiliates – The Chapters & Affiliates Program allows residents in your community to receive many of the benefits of Preservation Ohio membership. For an incredibly reasonable rate, any preservation or revitalization-related organization can sponsor a community’s membership. Click here to learn more about the Chapters & Affiliates program.
• Gift Memberships – Show you care about your friends, family and your past by giving a Preservation Ohio Gift Membership. Click here to give a gift membership.
• Donations – The generosity of our donors is legendary — and the need for your donations is more critical than ever. We will also accept gifts that are aimed at specific communities or issues, such as endangered historic properties. • Honorary and Memorial Gifts – Preservation Ohio would be honored to receive your gift designed to honor or memorialize individuals with a love for Ohio’s built heritage.
